Transit corridor between Central Europe, Italy and the Balkans

Slovenia carries heavy transit freight between Austria, Italy, Croatia, Hungary and the Balkans. Even the short Saturday-morning summer window can shift cross-border schedules, and the extended 06:00–16:00 corridor ban covers exactly the routes most transit trucks use towards Koper and the Croatian and Italian borders.

Winter equipment for trucks

From 15 November to 15 March, goods vehicles over 3.5 t must meet winter-equipment requirements in Slovenia, including tyre and snow-chain obligations depending on axle and tyre configuration. This is a separate rule from the driving bans.
